Working with a designer
Getting your garden designed helps you realistically visualise the possibilities of your outdoor space. Using 3D and 2D imagery also enables you to make attractive yet practical choices that work for your lifestyle and your budget.

I offer several design packages as a starting point, with additional planting packages and services. Having worked with landscape companies for a number of years, I'm able to generate costings as I design to ensure we are meeting your budget expectations as far as possible.

Once you have the completed design and specifications, you'll be able to appoint a landscape contractor to bring your outdoor space to life. I can also design for a DIY approach toward some, or even all of of the project if requested.

I offer free 30m consultations as starting point so that I can guide you toward the right packages or offer a bespoke one if you have for example, a large but straightforward outdoor space with a focal point only. Following this, I'll send you a non obligation proposal with a summary brief and costs.

Newcastle and surrounds

For clients in Newcastle Upon Tyne and surrounding areas, I'm able to make a site visit to take detailed measurements, video and imagery. We also have a TEND team that can implement planting schemes, and if you're interested in this we'll happily supply a quote alongside any design work undertaken.

Everywhere else in the UK

The design process is similar but instead of a site visit, we'll work together over a longer video call to determine dimensions. Using WeTransfer you can send me detailed video and photos of your space. I'll take into account your location and ensure the design concept and plan is workable for your situation.

PLANTING PACKAGES
In the design packages I will note planting areas and suggest broad themes which you may want to research and implement yourself.

I also provide planting design and plant shopping list for gardens, either as an 'add-on' to design packages, or as a standalone package.

This cost is worked out by how many square metres of planting are required and the type of planting you'd like to implement.
All planting plans are based, where possible to determine, on the suitability of the site, soil and aspect.

I use a client questionnaire and a 15m video call to determine your plant and seasonal preferences, and desired levels of upkeep.

The planting package will include;

✓ 2D labelled placement plan
✓ Shopping list with plant names and quantities
✓ Suggestions for planters and accessories
✓ Notes including soil improvement and nursery suggestions

As a rough guide, a 25sqm of mixed planting including groundcover plants, perennials, ornamental grasses and shubs would cost £200
The same area of planting but instead utilising contemporary swathes of repeat planting could cost between £80 -£100.
